Residential Development

St. Peter Street, Aberdeen

A residential development which regenerates a former industrial site in the centre of Aberdeen, handed over to the client in March 2015. The site area totals approximately 0.7 acres and features 28 apartments over 4 storeys along with 42 allocated car parking spaces. The vision was to bring vibrancy to the area by adopting a contemporary design approach to contribute and compliment to the local surroundings. The development now provides residents with the opportunity to benefit from the convenience of city centre living and includes a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units to accommodate for varying lifestyles. The site also incorporates a landscaped green space at its heart which affords communal amenity space for the residents along with private balconies. Externally, the building combines contemporary building materials such as smooth render and cladding panels with traditional granite which responds to site context and Mackie Ramsay Taylors design ethos. The orientation of the building was strategically planned to maximise the sites potential by providing dual aspect apartments which strongly considers natural day-lighting along with views onto amenity space and towards the city centre.
