Magic Roundabout Nursery

Elgin

This single storey nursery building for Springfield Developments and the Magic Roundabout Nursery is constructed as part of the Southfield development of community facilities and can cater for up to 80 pre-school children between the age of 0-5.

This bespoke high-quality accommodation has light and airy rooms with playful window positioning and use of colour. There is a large external play area accessible from all classrooms.

The building is of timber frame construction with high insulation levels and features areas of cedar cladding as well as coloured smooth renders. Inside, the use of colour, varying window heights and a mixture of open classroom style areas and smaller activity areas balances the scale of the building to its occupants whilst maintaining a safe and efficient layout for looking after the children.

Opened in 2008 and built to a high environmental standard throughout the building features timber kit construction, high insulation levels and natural cedar cladding externally.
