The refurbishment of an existing Grade ‘C’ listed place of worship, this project comprised both repair to the existing building fabric and sensitively altering it to provide both greater accessibility, a more welcoming arrival experience and a sanctuary space compatible with current day forms of worship.
This involved works throughout the church, including re-slating, timber repairs, re-wiring, re-lighting, complete re- decoration and the provision of external ramps and a lift.
The main architectural intervention was the creation of an informal arrival lobby between the street and the sanctuary, which also acts as a break-out space and informal meeting space.
